The Irish Uplands Forum, a voluntary body established in 1995, promotes a partnership approach to the sustainable management of Ireland's upland areas and supports upland community groups north and south.
The challenge
A membership and advocacy body needs a site that recruits and serves members, publishes news, events and research, and doubles as a genuine resource on upland biodiversity and management, all kept easy to maintain by a voluntary team.
What we built
A resourceful membership website that's also a knowledge resource.
- Membership sign-up and members' activities built in
- News, events and e-zine archives kept current
- A rich biodiversity and habitats resource for the uplands
The result
The Irish Uplands Forum has a site that recruits members, shares its work and serves as a real resource on the uplands, all manageable by a voluntary team. For a membership body, a site that is equal parts recruitment tool and knowledge base is exactly right.
